2008 Magayon Festival Invitational Table Tennis Tournament

Divine Word High School Gymnasium, Washington Drive, Legazpi City

 

I. Introduction:

The 2008 MAGAYON FESTIVAL INVITATIONAL TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT is a sports competition organized by the Guinobatan Table Tennis Club, Inc. (GTTC, Inc.) in cooperation with the Provincial Government of Albay headed by Hon. Joey Sarte Salceda, Governor of Albay and the Albay Provincial Tourism. The goal of this national tournament is to promote table tennis as one of the popular sports in the country and to invite people to visit and view the beauty of Albay Province. It also aims to augment the level of competitiveness of our local players against the best players of other regions all over the nation.

II. Organization and Management

The tournament will be under the supervision and management of the Guinobatan Table Tennis Club, Inc. and will coordinate with the Provincial Government of Albay and Albay Tourism Office in terms of funding and other concerns. However, accredited national or regional officials may assist in the conduction of the tournament as deemed necessary by the club officers.

III. Category and Entry Fee

1. We encourage and advise participants to register earlier. The schedule of registration will be on April 10, 2008 from 8:00am - 5:00pm. Each club is encouraged to register as many teams as they can.

TEAM PLAY

Composed of three (3) Players, one (1) current or former national player and two (2) non-ranked players.

ENTRY FEE: Php 1,000.00 / Team

IV. Awards and Prizes

There shall be four (4) winners in the category, a champion, a first runner-up, a second runner-up and a third runner-up. Each will receive a cash prize and a token. The prizes are as follows:

Champion

20,000.00 Php

First Runner-up 15,000.00 Php
Second Runner-up 10,000.00 Php
Third Runner-up 5,000.00Php

    Amazing! Another big tournament from Guinobatan Table Tennis Club, I keep hearing good things about this club and sa past tournaments nila. Too bad for me, i didnt have the chance to play in their tournament, but there’s always a next time.
    Keep it up and continue to raise the level!

    How i wish we could entry on that said tournament.
    Please send us an invitational letter so that we have an evidence to show that we would like to attend that competition. The reason that we would like to ask an invitational letter because we would like to ask an assistance from the Local Government Unit to finance our subsistence.
