The Individual Events of the 3rd Uni-Orient Cup Table Tennis League & National Junior Pool Selection Tournament has successfully been concluded over the weekend through the auspices of the Table Tennis Association of North District (TATAND) with authority given by the Table Tennis Association of the Philippines (TATAP).
The winning players are the following:
BS18 years old and under
Champion: Monark Broqueza (FEU)
1st Runner up: J.M. Vista (Killerspin)
2nd Runner up: Darwin Fradejas (UE)
Daryl Fradejas (UE)
Quarter-Finalist: Leo Sacopla (SLSU), Ramjay Maligalig (FTTC)
Lloyd Salabsab (UPH Dalta), Michael Rodolfo (Justin-Amoranto)
GS18 years old and under
Champion: Marian Sanchez (SLSU)
1st Runner up: Stephanie Taba (FEU)
2nd Runner up: Maricar Jarme (FTTC, Tanauan)

Quarter-Finalist: Mary Ann Tapia (FTTC), Dancel Joy Tanedo (Killerspin)

2nd Runner up: Jaezl May Ingeniero (Deped- Manila)

Quarter-Finalist: Joanna Carmona (Liceo de San Pablo), Krisha Diano (UE)

However, the plan of holding a summer training for these players in preparation for the 14th South East Asian Junior Table Tennis Championships this June 18 – 21, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, will be put on hold due to the recent development in the management of TATAP.
As there is a newly- elected set of officers in TATAP, the authority given to TATAND by TATAP President Victor Valbuena early this year, in representing the Philippines to the said Championship also hangs on the balance. It is this reason that TATAND is not sure whether the new management will honor the agreement signed between TATAND and TATAP regarding this.
For now, TATAND will just have to wait for any advise/ development/ decision from the new management. Whatever it may be, TATAND shall always remain the same in supporting the development and promotion of table tennis in our country.
