April 15th, 2008 at 2:28 am
Jojo,
April 15th, 2008 at 9:08 pm
Jon,
April 16th, 2008 at 12:21 am
Jojo,
Diba dyan yung warm up tournament for US open? malapit ba sa lugar nyo yun?
April 16th, 2008 at 4:12 am
April 17th, 2008 at 11:16 am
Jojo/Paradise,
Regards to both of you, and my sincerest congratulations to you Jon on your super huge achievement. God bless.
Jorenz
April 18th, 2008 at 6:57 am
Good luck guys sa darating na US Open
April 18th, 2008 at 8:19 am
Jojo,
Tnx sa invitation mo, if ever tutuloy ako sa warm up tournament dyan, ill make sure i contact you and coach Jun before i go there. by the way, i spoke with him a while ago, kamustahan lang. Dugong green ka rin pala, hehehe! Tnx!
Jorenz,
grabe naman yung super huge achievement, hehehe! i think alot of filipinos can do it too, mabigyan lang sila ng break makapunta dito. Nandyan sila R. Gonzales, H. Ortalla, J. Esposo, J. Cruz, J. Almazan, not to exclude ang mga Alto brothers they have the biggest chance to reach 2600+ and maintain the level for a long time. If i can make it, for sure they can make it too maybe easier.
Again Jorenz, tnx sa compliment, God Bless you and your family too.
Harry,
We’ll need all the luck we can get sa US open. tnx!
April 19th, 2008 at 2:02 am
Paradise,
At least diyan sina David Zhuang makakatapat mo.
April 19th, 2008 at 1:21 pm
Gusto ko ang service at chop over the table nya.
April 19th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
@Jon,
If time permits, kita kits tayo sa US Open.
April 19th, 2008 at 8:52 pm
Harry,
April 21st, 2008 at 11:31 am
Jojo,
Lakas nila nun, grabe. Probably the best two juniors during their respective times, nagsama sa UP.
PERO, I think all these guys will have to take a backseat to Jon at this point in time. Sa ngayon, it can even be argued that Jon is the best RP ever produced in the sport…
April 22nd, 2008 at 7:20 pm
Jorenz,
I remember Peter Rivera.
April 23rd, 2008 at 3:26 pm
Yes! I hear he is now a successful doctor having given up table tennis for medicine…sana balang araw, maka-produce din ang ADMU ng player na ka-calibre ni Jon
May 1st, 2008 at 3:08 am

May 4th, 2008 at 11:52 am
@Paradise, that makes table tennis challenging. Good luck, anywayz malapit na US Open.
May 7th, 2008 at 3:28 pm
Jon,
Any other day, mamaniin mo yun…araw lang niya, kung baga. Sige, ingat lang dyan. There’ll be other tourneys and I’m sure you’ll kick butt then.
Regards,
Jorenz
September 9th, 2008 at 8:28 am
Congrats to you Ernesto Lambrento Ebuen III you are now 2610 wow that is very good, just keep it up so that your usa ratings will go higher pa.so far that’s the higest pinoy usa rank there.

Musta na Jon, kelan tournament uli?
September 13th, 2008 at 1:21 am
ok naman Harry, this weekend meron akong tournament nasasalihan sa philadelphia, lakas ng mga mag lalaro, so unlikely na manalo ako, im just gonna go there for fun and experience.
alam mo ba yung iru-iru company dyan? i dont know kung yung may ari ang ppunta dito sa NY or isa sa mga main guy ng iru-iru, anyway i might meet them one of these days thru common friends.
September 13th, 2008 at 7:46 am
@Paradise
Good luck.
September 15th, 2008 at 11:06 pm
Harry,
i’ll let you know kung anong name nung guy from iru-iru.
grabe yung water based glue sobrang complicated. my racket was tested under enez machine. good thing my racket turned out negative for speed glue.
what they do is, they put your racket inside the enez tester (its like a racket case size box which is transparent) let it stay there for 1 full minute, and if you passed, the machine will “passed”. but if you use speed glue, before 15 secs pa lang sasabihin na ng machine na “failed” yung racket mo.
its kinda scary for me kasi it was my first time to use the water based glue, i used the water based glue 3 hours before the tournament, i didnt air out the rubber in the suggested hours, i used my old racket, and i used sponge expander. I violated almost everything they suggested. But, i my racket still passed. but i lost in the semi finals.
My german friend(practice partner of Timo Boll) told me, they stopped selling sponge expander in europe and he said it will be banned too after 3 months or so. They’re coach are so serious in implementing the new glue, the coach even have enez tester with them every pratice just to test each players racket for illegal glue.
anyway, i think i have to pratice with water based glue from now on.
September 16th, 2008 at 10:02 am
Maybe better to try to change your Bryce to Bryce Speed.
September 16th, 2008 at 10:11 am
I’m thingking to change to Tenergy
September 16th, 2008 at 10:31 am
Tenergy 05 o 25? My friend is using 05 with Timo Boll Spirit, tried it and I still prefer my Bryce Speed.
BTW Tenergy 64 is coming.
September 23rd, 2008 at 6:15 am
Harry,
Yung nagamit ko is 05 and i kinda liked it.
September 23rd, 2008 at 9:49 am
I see.
September 23rd, 2008 at 10:03 am
Harry,
September 23rd, 2008 at 11:46 am
Paradise
Yan apdin gamit mo na sardius when your’e here paba?ang tagal nadin yan, ahh.ask ko lang re the “enez tester” what if yung glue mo na used ay home made lang, for sure illegal yan,how many days para hinde ma test na illegal?i mean what if mga 1week na nakalipas,so sobrang wala ng amoy yan,do u think hidne padin sya papasa sa enez test nayan? wow naku po pag meron ng “Enez tet” dito sa pinas for sure madaming ma “EENEZ” talaga nyan, heheh
September 23rd, 2008 at 12:07 pm
Paradise
When ba ma iimplement ang “Enez tester” nayan sa int’l tourney?matagal paba?or i think nag start na ata talaga, pero dito sa pinas when kaya?puro hoem made glue kasi mga used namin dito, nakupo for sure if meron na dito nyan maraming ma “EENEZ” dyan sa Enez Tester nayan, hehehe
September 23rd, 2008 at 11:21 pm
Coach Jet,
kapag gumagamit ka ng home made glue (which i know sobrang toxic, kasi i’ve used it) at kahit hindi mo i-reglue for a long time even months, i think you would still turn out positive of using illegal glue (VOC). Because of so many coats applied before, for sure na absorb na ng rubber and racket yun.
The smell of the racket doesnt have to do with enez tester.
Implemented na sa international tournament yung water based glue since after Beijing olmpics or Sept 1.
Kami din na eenez sa new rule, pero its just a start, people can always managed to adapt.
Cheers,
September 24th, 2008 at 6:48 am
@Paradise, Joola Kool gamit ko.
September 24th, 2008 at 9:48 am
@Paradise
Thanks for your advice re the water based glue,
So dapat ata even the racket need to change din siguro kasi nakasiksik na duon ang mga old glue residue?so mag papositive padin yan dapat palit lahat ng racket and rubber pads,na dapat pure water based glue.
What kind of water based glue ba ang magaling na fast din like the speed glue?ano ma rerecommmend mo?meron naman sa topcoms eto eh.medyo mahal lang talaga.
And how aboutthe drying time?sobrang tagal ata diba?minimum of 12hours ata?so dapt over night ang dikit, gabi pa lang idikit mo talaga dapat.
September 26th, 2008 at 6:26 am
Galing mo Jon. Bilib kmi d2 sa Dubai. Pinapasabi ni Kirby, pls paki email lng sya at kirbslap@yahoo.com. Tnks and pls keep us updated on your tournaments and results sa U.S.

rtmdubai,
Tnx! for sure i will email him. musta na pala yan si kirb? nakakalaro pa din ba sya?
October 7th, 2008 at 4:33 am
Pumapalo pa rin every Thurs d2 Sports City sa Dubai. Last Sept we went to Abu Dhabi to watch the annual Ramadan Games which included a pro TT tournament joined by top 100 players like Gionis of Greece (Rank 51), Thiago Monteiro of Brazil (Rank 59 & defending champion), Filimon of Romania (Rank 73), Toriola of Nigeria (74) who reached the 3rd round in the Beijing Olympics, Liu Song of Argentina (82) and other strong Middle East national players. Liu Song was the champion. 1st Prize AED34K yata. Sayang di kasali si Kirby bka naging champion…dun sa non-pro TT tournament won by Ike (a Filipino) from Abu Dhabi.
I’ve clipped the articles on your results in the 2008 San Diego Open (where you are the Top Seed) and Eastern Open (where you reached the semifinals) and will post them in Sport City’s bulletin board. Keep up your good results.

uy pareng boyang!
long time no hear! as far as i know, Jon borrowed the VHS tape from me years back. haven’t got it back since then. mga bata pa kami nun at si Jon kagagaling lang sa chicken pox nun. i remember those days when we are practicing on your place and eventually Jon and I qualified for the Palarong Pambansa and the rest was history.
it’s so nice to look back and see how those little ways helped developed our skills. lalo na kay Jon.
hope to see you soon.
