Application forms are hereto attached, and after being accomplished the same shall be filed to the TATAP office, Attn: Atty. Domingo G. Panlilio, Board Secretary, for submission to and approval by the Board.

Team Huaching-A of Handel Yap, Julius Esposo and Jimboy Baring defeated Team University of Cebu-A of Emmanuel Motel and Michael Motel in the team finals (3-1) in the Elizabeth Mall Sports Challenge last Aug. 9-10, 2008 Cebu City in a Singles-Doubles-Singles format.
Team UC-C of Dannel Jay Tormis and Tata Carreon settled for third place (3-2) against Team Huaching-C of coach Raffy San Juan and Jason Rodriguez.

Pasig table tennis team named as the overall champion in the recent 3rd Philippine Olympics Festival NCR Qualifying games held at Harrizon Plaza, Malate, Manila by hauling 4 gold, 1 silver and 7 bronze followed by runner-up Manila team with 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronzes.
The medal winners of the POF NCR Qualifying Games and all participating NSA national team members will compete in the POF National Championships on October 20-26, 2008 at Misamis Orriental.
The Philippine Olympic Festival Organizing Committee (POFOC) was created by the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) to plan, organize, and oversee the POF Games to be run by participating National Sports Associations (NSAs), and appoint host Local Government Units (LGUs).The POFOC was headed by Hon. Robet N. Aventajado, Chairman of POFOC.

Tubod, Lanao del Norte. Powerhouse Team Cagayan de Oro hauled nine medals- 3 golds, 5 silvers and 1 bronze. 14-year old Janine Dy of Corpus Christi contributed 2 golds in the 14-under and 17-under categories. She defeated the National 17-under champion Gloen Abales of Misamis Oriental (3-1) in the final round in the just recently concluded Phil. Olympic Festival:

The Office of Quezon City Mayor SONNY BELMONTE, through the efforts of Amoranto Sports Complex Administrator ANDY APOSTOL, recently purchased two (2) new ping-pong tables (DHS T-1223 and DHS T-1024) and one (1) “Robopong” as added upgrades to the Amoranto Table Tennis playing area.
Club Members and visitors can now enjoy three (3) high-end ITTF-approved tables, and a mechanical
training partner.

A go signal for Ms. Jessica Jawad Honoridez table tennis squad to participate in the coming International Children Games in San Fransisco, California on July 10-15, 2008. University of Cebu kids garnered silver medals in the High School and Elementary singles competion in the 2008 Palawan Palarong Pambansa, while the collegiate rules the PRISAA for the 4th time headed by Michael Motel.
They are not the best team in the country but they have the sponsors for their expenses in joining International Games.

The ”Coron Summer Clinic 2008” was sponsored by Municipal of Coron headed by Mayor Marjo T. Reyes, SB Cliff Richard Astor and ABC President Palanca.
Coach Noel Gonzalez and Coach Julius del Rosario of Far Eastern University held a table tennis clinic in Coron, Palawan last April 12-16, 2008. Table Tennis enthusiasts from the Coron and Culion municipalities took part in this event, with the total of 48 participants in table tennis alone. This is the first such clinic to be held in Coron. It was also accompanied by clinics related to other sports such as badminton ,basketball, chess, dance sport ,taekwondo, and volleyball.
Table Tennis is fast becoming a favorite in Coron, as shown by the local’s performance in the Provincial Meet for the past two years, where they garnered several gold medals. Table tennis enthusiasts in Coron also wish to be able to compete with the best and bring home the bacon from the Palarong Pambansa. In addition, they treated the sport as a way of providing scholarships to deserving students in the top colleges and universities in Manila.

THE new leadership of Table Tennis Association of the Philippines (TATAP) is hosting the 1st Philippine National Table Tennis Championship on October 8-12 at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
TATAP newly-elected President PSSupt Cesar Hawthorne Binag said the tournament, which requires no entry fee, will help the association to discover new talents to form the future men’s, women’s and junior National Team.
“We are encouraging everybody to participate in this project especially the youth who are dreaming to become future national players,” said Binag. “This is your chance to become part of the history.”
The expected participants, Binag said, will represent their respective cities, provinces and other national institutions. “That’s the easiest way to find new talents in table tennis. TATAP should be approachable.” Read the rest of this entry »

THE Philippine National Police (PNP)-Killer Spin dominated the 2008 Magayon Festival Invitational table tennis tournament last April 11-13 at the Level 3 Activity Center Pacific Mall Legaspi City. 
THE PNP-Killer Spin, headed by playing coach PO3 Jose C. Ortalla Jr, showed tenacity to defeat Metropolitan Table Tennis Association (METTA) and EC-Jack Andro team to pocket the P32, 000 cash prized and trophy.
The other members of the team are Henberd Ortalla, Jong Ortalla, Federico Sebastian, Richard Gonzales, Johnard Baldonado, Johnny Sarte and Glen Rodriguez. Read the rest of this entry »

AFTER attending church on Wednesday night officiated by Archbishop Romulo Valles of Zamboanga, the Davao Region athletes were inspired the next day and that included the women’s table tennis team that won this year’s national crown.
Thanks to Jacqueline Caragao, Debby Kate Mascardo, and Mirabel Roferos of Holy Cross of Davao College and Jocelyn Enaro of the University of Mindanao, it was another great ride for Davao. Read the rest of this entry »
