  • Davao’s wonderboy, Gil Ablanque knocked-out Cebu’s wonderboy, Dannel Jay Tormis in the 1st round. Both are lefties and Palaro Gold medalists Score: 10-12, 11-6, 5-11, 11-9, 11-7

Team Event:

  • 13-year old Dannel Jay Tormis of University of Cebu defeated former Phil. Team Julius Esposo. Score: 9-11, 6-11, 11-8, 11-9, 11-9 but Team Huaching-A won over University of Cebu.
