The Table Tennis Association of North District (TATAND) is organizing the 3rd Andro Cup National Table Tennis Team Championship this coming August 02 & 03, 2008. In this regard, we would like to invite you and your team to be part of this momentous event.
The aim of this tournament is to promote table tennis as a sport, just like badminton, tennis and other popular sports. In this way, we can help those who have potentials and talents to avail scholarship from reputable schools and university. Different coaches from different schools will be arriving to scout players.

The Grand Family Association of the Philippines Inc. will be holding “The 18th Grand Family Cup Table Tennis Championship on July 12 to 27, 2008.
In this connection, we would like to invite Filipino-Chinese players from different clubs, associations or organizations who can represent their respective family association who are affiliated with the Grand Family Assn.. Both Team and Singles events will be played with a total of 11 events depending on its age categories.

The Table Tennis Association of North District (TATAND) Veterans’ Team has just been back to the country
from a very impressive performance at the 4th Minzhi Cup International Table Tennis Tournament held in Macau, China, from May 10-11, 2008.
The team standout, Michel Dalumpines, proved his mettle against the strong field of seasoned players and won 2nd Runner Up in the Mens Singles Event.
In the team event, the high-spirited TATAND team beat the Hong Kong team in close competition to enter the quarterfinals and finally settling to 6th place out of 12 teams. This standing is already a feat in itself considering that this tournament drew a total of 50 teams comprising of 258 players from 9 countries.
TATAND is composed of the following: Team Manager William Aw, Team Captain Charlie Lim and players: Philip Uy, Ernie Salvador, Marcos de Jesus, Richmond Ong, and Michel Dalumpines.

TING Ledesma has taken it – the game – most of the time for fun.
This time in the just recent concluded 10th DONIC Chancellor’s Cup table tennis national invitational championship, Ledesma proved his worth when he captured the men’s open single’s battle of the champion title last April 3, 2008.
Ledesma showed flashes of backspins to score a stunning 11-9, 10-12, 11-8, 11-7 victory over Japhet Adaza to sweep all five matches in that single division at the University of the Philippines College of Human Kinetics in Diliman Quezon City.
“I’m not expecting to win this title because there are many players around,” said the 35-year-old Ledesma who is the president of the Metropolitan Table Tennis Association. “When I played in the championship, I just did what I needed to do.” Read the rest of this entry »

Former three times World Singles Champion, Guo Yue Hua visits Green Paddle and FCAAF last February 23, 2008. He gave some instructions and important advice to all players who are present that time. He gave an emphasized about the importance of footwork with a good balance after hitting the ball and how to be an effective server by imparting a different kind of spins and variations. Displaying great camaraderie and ageless skills, the TATAND and the Amoranto TTC had friendly matches last Thursday, 07 February 2008 at the ATTC playing venue inside the Amoranto Sports Complex. The TATAND Delegation consisted of Misters Charlie Lim, Philip Uy, Ernesto Salvador, Richmond Ong, Marcos de Jesus, Michael Dalumpines, George Quijano and Lauro Crisostomo. Team Amoranto was composed of Misters Nestor Ferre, Noel Gonzalez, Ting Ledesma, Joseph Cruz, Sherwin Remata, Benedict Gaela and Christopher Castillo. Mr. Andy Apostol, Amoranto Sports Complex Administrator, graced the event and enjoyed the games.
