This girl really rocks, Pierre Marie Cossid was a talented table tennis player who won the 2006 U.S. Open Under 3700 Doubles with her coach John Allen.
Now she is preparing for another competition, this time in Pilipinas Got Talent. Good luck Jang!

2010 US Open with Open Liha
USA Table Tennis (USATT) as the national Olympic governing body of table tennis in the United States would like to extend an unique invitation to enhance cultural and diplomatic relations between the United States and the Philippines. Specifically, USA Table Tennis would be very honored to have a delegation of Filipino “Liha” athletes attend the US Open in late June 2010 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The 2009 US Table Tennis Open Under 2600 event won by Germany’s Tanja Hain-Hofman (2477), she defeated Ting Ledesma (2405), 11-8, 11-8, 12-10.

Record-breaking feat
TATAND’s secretary-general Rachel DL. Ramos, the first and only female ITTF international umpire of the Philippines, has just added another feather on her cap through qualifying recently to the elite group of Blue-Badge umpires of the ITTF.
Becoming a Blue-Badge umpire is no walk in the park as this ITTF Blue Badge certification is currently the highest distinction given to international umpires around the world for consistently showing a high level of umpiring performance. As of September 30, 2008, there are only 183 international umpires who attained that status since its inception in 2002. Blue Badge-certified umpires have greater opportunities to be nominated by the ITTF Umpires and Referees Committee (URC) to represent their Associations in ITTF World Title events. PNPTTC settles at top 16 in US Open
JOSEF T. RAMOS
PO3 Jose Ortalla Jr and Joseph Cruz of Philippine National Police Table Tennis Club (PNPTTC) placed at top 64 in men’s singles open in the conclusion of US Open table tennis championship at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas USA.
Ortalla, the vice-president of Table Tennis Association of the Philippines (TATAP), and Cruz had survived the 800 participants from various continents that competed in the popular week-long international tournament.
“It was really a great experience playing our first US Open because we met popular international players,” said Ortalla, who landed at top 32 after his rival, Chinese Shen Qiang was already default the match when he arrived 1 hour late. Read the rest of this entry →
